RhythmMethod Band started as an impromptu jam session with band members Todd and Tim.  They later agreed that they should expand into something bigger.  Laura and Ardley were then brought in to fill out the sound.  With months of practice behind them, they have come together to provide a seamless mix of sound with lots of energy and fun.  And now we have our keyboard and rhythm guitar player named Jeff.  We ready when you are....

Now the boys of the group have the constant challenge of keeping their girl happy, because 'if a woman ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!'

     Biographies:

Laura: Lead Vocalist
Laura recently finished singing with The Rip Chords, a premiere women's a cappella group from the University of Illinois-Urbana/Champaign.  Then shortly after, she was given the opportunity to team up with RhythmMethod Band and sing lead vocals.  This was probably the single best decision the band has ever made.

Laura is from the Chicago area, and resides in the city today.

Tim: Drums
A hard banging kind of guy...has great dynamics on the drums as long as it is loud.  All of our practices are at his house, where he always greets us with a hug and a beer.  Tim is a lot like George from the classic 'Of Mice and Men' - that is, he is tall, dark, and handsome.   Doh!

Jeff: Guitar, Keyboards, Vocals
Jeff is our newest member, and has been in several bands in the past.  For a sneak back into time, check out the picture to the left.  Jeff does a little bit of everything, which makes him a good fit, except for the fact that he is drinking all of our beer (Is Rolling Rock really a beer?)  Jeff recently purchased a $40 capo, and this has completely enhanced his playing ability two fold.

Here is a link to Jeff son on YouTube.  Enjoy

Todd: Guitar, Vocals (Todd's Favorite Links)
Past experience:
1984-93: high-energy funk/soul/R&B group, "
State of Mind" (guitar).
1996-99: heavy rock group, "
Fuel 440" (guitar).
1999-02: contemporary rock group, "
Flirtin' with Joe" (bass).
2002-04:
Fabulous Mongrels

One highlight: opening for Chuck Berry, crowd of 4,000, 1985.
Favorite guitarist: Steve Vai.
Favorite musicians include: Peter Gabriel, The Police, Prince, Seal, Living Colour, Alice in Chains, Talking Heads.

Ardley: Bass, Vocals
One afternoon in the mid 90's, Ardley was challenged by a friend to buy a bass and join a band.   A good idea at best, but within one year, Ardley was playing places like Blues Etc and Buddy Guy's Legends in Chicago.  Many shows later and several bands since, Ardley is ecstatic to be playing with RhythmMethod Band.

Ardley was the former bass player for the band Fuel 440 (1996-1999).
His favorite web site is The Dan Band, great design!
Drummer jokes, the best (no offense Tim!!)

Power pop at its best! RMB is fronted by a soulful and unique female vocalist, and backed by a solid rhythm section which is rooted from their funk, and rock and roll backgrounds. Now that they are matched up with a singer that defines finesse, this combination makes their music stand out!
